What changed since last week
Last week's Bitcoin read described a 3D chart whose trend label had slipped to sideways because the 20-period EMA climbed 1.35% through a price that moved only 0.58% — the average travelled, not the price. This week the same average travelled back. The 3D EMA fell 1.21%, from 64,331.78 to 63,555.86, while price moved -0.08% (64,138.93 to 64,086.38). Price now sits 0.83% above that EMA, having been 0.30% below it a week ago.
The label follows: the 3D trend reads up again, and it is the only trend-direction change among the nine asset-timeframe cells our compute covers. Bitcoin's cross-timeframe alignment moved with it, from mixed to conflicting — the only alignment label of the three assets that changed at all. Two consecutive weeks, then, in which the same 20-period average crossed price in opposite directions while price itself went essentially nowhere.
All distances in this read are expressed as a percentage of the current price of 64,086.38.
The three timeframes
The 3D carries a trend of up at weak strength, with RSI at 46.14 (up 0.72 on the week) and momentum classed neutral. Its efficiency ratio — our directionality measure, where 1.0 is a straight line and 0 is pure chop — rose from 0.0358 to 0.2402, the largest increase of any of the nine cells. That is a meaningful move off the near-zero reading of a week ago, though it still describes a chart covering ground inefficiently.
The two 20-period averages are now almost on top of each other: SMA 63,532.47 and EMA 63,555.86, a separation of 23.39 points, or 0.036% of price. That is the tightest gap anywhere in the nine cells; the next-nearest is Ethereum's 3D at 0.402%, roughly eleven times wider. Price sits just above both — 0.86% above the SMA, 0.83% above the EMA.
The weekly is unchanged in label: trend down, weak strength, momentum bearish, RSI 40.74. Its own efficiency ratio doubled from 0.0440 to 0.0905, which remains among the lowest readings on the board. Both weekly averages stand well above price — the EMA at 66,893.92 is 4.38% above it, the SMA at 68,857.70 is 7.45% above.
The monthly is the most directional cell Bitcoin has: trend down at strong strength, efficiency ratio 0.6054, momentum bearish, RSI 43.63. Its averages sit far overhead — the EMA at 82,720.15 stands 29.08% above price and the SMA at 87,526.71 stands 36.58% above. Conventionally, price this far beneath both long-horizon averages is read as an intact monthly downtrend, and none of that changed this week.
Levels and zones
The 3D pivot scan re-resolved both of its nearest levels. Support moved from 62,392.64 with two touches to 62,440.17 with three — the same shelf, one more test recorded. Resistance moved from 64,700.00 with a single touch to 65,087.23 with two. Support now sits 2.57% below price and resistance 1.56% above it; the whole band spans 1.12 times one 3D ATR (2,366.55, itself 3.69% of price), so price is inside a corridor a little wider than a single average 3D bar.
On the weekly, both nearest levels are unchanged from a week ago: support at 60,564.56 with six touches — the second most-tested level on the entire board — sitting 5.50% below price, and resistance at 66,151.38 with three touches, 3.22% above. One weekly structure did leave the ledger: the bearish order block between 90,128.44 and 97,924.49 aged off entirely.
The monthly still carries an unmitigated bearish order block between 65,712.12 and 79,485.66, four bars old, whose lower edge sits just 2.54% above price. An order block marks a zone where prior selling concentrated; traders conventionally watch such zones for a reaction when price re-enters them. A second, older bearish zone on the 3D sits between 72,512.49 and 74,514.10, now 27 bars old.
Where Bitcoin sits against Ethereum and Solana
The most notable thing about this week's board is its uniformity. After Bitcoin's 3D label flipped, all three assets now carry the identical trend triple: 3D up at weak strength with neutral momentum, weekly down at weak strength with bearish momentum, monthly down at strong strength with bearish momentum. All three read conflicting on cross-timeframe alignment, as they also did on 4 August. The matching triple itself has not occurred before in the weeks this stream has been running.
Where they separate is in directionality. Bitcoin's 3D efficiency ratio of 0.2402 is now the fifth-highest of the nine, having been the lowest a week ago; Solana's weekly went the other way, and Solana's monthly at 0.9575 is the most directional cell on the board. Bitcoin's monthly, at 0.6054, is the least directional of the three monthly readings.
